Mail is configured here, not in environment files — stored in the database with the password encrypted, effective immediately, with a test mail button to verify the connection.

Note

Until SMTP is configured, outgoing mail is discarded — the setup-completion banner reminds you.

SMTP

smtpHost / smtpPort / smtpUsername / smtpPassword / smtpEncryption

The transport. Password is stored encrypted; changes take effect on the next send.

smtpFromName / smtpFromEmail

The From identity on everything the server sends.

Test mail

Below the transport fields, enter a recipient and hit Send — the server attempts a real delivery with the settings as saved and reports the SMTP error verbatim if it fails.
