Account & preferences

Language, account & your data

Interface languages, password, your own API keys, data export and account deletion.

Language

Ten interface languages: English, Polish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Dutch and Turkish. Pick in Preferences — emails, push notifications and emoji search follow it.

Preferences

Send key, emoticon conversion, notification opt-ins, theme, timezone — stored server-side, following you across browsers and devices.

Settings that describe this device stay on it: interface scale, emoji skin tone and all voice/video settings (input and output devices, voice mode, gain, noise suppression, background blur). That’s deliberate — your phone and your desktop want different values.

Account

Preferences → Account & Security covers the credentials side in one tab: two-factor authentication, changing your password, and the deletion flow below.

Changing your password signs your other sessions out — every refresh token is revoked, so anything still logged in elsewhere has to sign in again with the new password.

API keys

Preferences → API keys — every user can issue personal access tokens for scripts and integrations, scoped to exactly the permissions they need, with optional expiry. The token is shown once at creation; revoke any key instantly. The REST API page shows how to use them.

Your data

From Preferences:

  • Data export — request a JSON export of your messages, profile and activity; you get a time-limited download link when it’s ready.
  • Delete account — deletion has a 7-day grace period. Signing in during it doesn’t undo anything: you land on a lockout screen showing the purge date, with Cancel deletion and Sign out as the only two ways forward. Let the window close and your content is anonymized in place — conversations keep their shape, your identity is gone.
